PotW: Lenovo ThinkPad Silent Mouse

December 13, 2020

I took advantage of a deal that Lenovo was having and got this mouse for $12 out the door. I arrived on Thursday and my first week impressions are great. I have been using the mouse flawlessly on two of my computer systems. It features a Bluetooth 5.0 chip and a switch at the bottom to let you use it among two devices.

The Silent Mouse gimmick really works. You will not hear yourself clicking the left and right mouse buttons when you are using the device. Now I’ll be able to click in the library and at night without waking up my girlfriend or a library patron. I can now be stealth as I scroll through web pages.

The nice thing about this mouse is that it I can switch between 800, 1600, and 2400 DPI settings with the press of a button.

It’s not like normal mice in the fact that this thing is flat. It took a little getting used to, but doesn’t give me hand cramps after hours of usage. It comes with a double A battery so you don’t have to worry about making a trip to the drug store to give this mouse a go.

Since I am now an Apple Fanboy I love the fact that it is Bluetooth and I don’t have to mess around with a USB dongle. My Logitech G620 mouse works great, but it requires me to use a Dongle. With this mouse I am truly free.

After using this I am sold. I have bought two more and will be using one for my Podcasting Rig and one more for my travel bag for the times when we travel again.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Silent Mouse is currently on sale for $14.99 but with the coupon code of ACCEXTRA10 will knock it down to $13.50. If you are a student, an extra 5% discount will be applied bringing to around $12 bucks.
